Tom “Tombo” Martin, born in South Carolina, grew up in Panama City Beach, Fla. He spent most of his childhood hunting and fishing. During a 21-year professional baseball career, Tombo has played with 7 Major League teams and ended with pitching for the New York Mets.
Tombo Martin has retired from over a decade in the Major Leagues. He now spends his time hunting and fishing with friends and family on his ranch in the Florida Panhandle.
Through his passion for the game of baseball and the tradition of hunting, Tombo formed a relationship with fellow Buckman Willie Robertson and the other boys on a deer-hunting trip in the Texas hill country. “The Buck Commander crew has given me a new level of passion for hunting and the outdoors, not to mention the opportunity to learn more about one of the best sports there is. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity invest in a group of people who are just as messed up as I am! That usually makes for some hilarious footage. Can’t wait for our next adventure,” said Tombo.
Tombo is married to Tasha and has a son named Tyler.
